Gagosian opens Richard Avedon: Hollywood in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, November 4, with a reception from 6 to 8. More than 120 photographs span half a century, iconic portraits beside rarely seen ones.

The show is curated by the Richard Avedon Foundation. Its subjects run from Charlie Chaplin, Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe to Tilda Swinton, Ralph Fiennes and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

It stays on view through December 19.
